AI - Magic with Logic

Hello everyone, yup you came to the right place!!

Human brains are biased to fancy buzz words and attractive statements. yes, many people were talking about AI, ML, DL , IOT , AR, VR but are we aware of these?

That's fine let's jump into these soooo called buzz words.

let me walk you through my favorite topic AI. As the name suggests Artificial intelligence is nothing but a machine given a chance to think of its own which could work in the same way our human brain works. Before getting into AI let's talk about our very own CPU (brain). Human brains are comprised of millions of neurons firing to pass messages to the whole body. How the information is being processed through the brains?? simple, when we hear/see something it is getting processed into the brain by the use of neurons, and based on the depth of the information it is been decided either to be stored in a permanent memory or is temporary.

The same can be incorporated into machines that can process images, audio, video with proper training using similar data. But how did we differentiate humans, trees, animals without a bunch of data? That's called intelligence. you may ask, someone would have introduced these things in our childhood so that isn't a data? I can hear that !! yes they introduced that, this is your mom... and that's your uncle... but no one would have thought us how to differentiate between uncle and anaconda right!! so that is human intelligence.

I would say AI should be called as AL (Artificial Learning) at least to some extent until we witness real intelligence since it is learning from the data and acting accordingly. so there are a lot of differences between learning and intelligence. fine, then what is Machine learning, Deep learning, Internet of things? Let us consider AI as a giant umbrella that holds ML ,DL, IOT , Robotics techniques to solve the problem. precisely, AI is the combination of all the mentioned techniques which is been separated by different domains.

Why do we have such a big hype over AI?

Though it can not meet human intelligence, it has its very own strengths which is playing a major role in today's technology.

Is that possible for the human brain:

• To process huge data and getting insights from that? No right! - AI can do that

• To process millions of images at the same time? - AI can do that

• To execute the repeated process with a low error rate? - AI can do that

• To drive the car without human intervention? -AI can do that

• Diagnosing medical conditions in a short span with higher accuracy? yes, AI can do that

It has even more functionalities like Validating important documents, scanning medical records to keep track of patient's health, identifying affected parts of the crop in agriculture, Virtual assistant, also used in cameras for better clarity ..etc....

How AI is working?

As I mentioned earlier, it is the combination of ML,DL, Computer vision, etc..any how all these algorithms work using math!! yup..here too.

Computers can understand only 0's & 1's that you know, so it is necessary to process everything in numbers. But all these algorithms are working based on statistics, probability, algebra, calculus( i will cover that in upcoming posts). data will be feed into the algorithm to get that model trained on specific types of data but it is mandatory to pre-process the data before feeding into the model. Because data might have much-unwanted information that could lead to false prediction or classification. we have many steps to process the data(that too I will cover in a separate post), once the data is been loaded we have many algorithms each has its unique way of predictions/classifications.

It may look simple in two lines of explanation but while digging more we might end up in different perspectives on AI.

precisely, it's about the data ->training-> outcome!

Will AI replace humans?

LoL!!! yes, but not all the jobs.

Let's understand its core concept, AI is mainly used for improved accuracy, higher performance & "Automating repeatable tasks"

Yes, if there is no need for human effort for each time then it can be automated right!

Jobs with repeated tasks will be automated to reduce costs. list of jobs could be automated are :

• Office / Mall securities for bag checking

• Floor washing

• Bathroom/Restroom cleaning

• Verifying passports/Visa and attaching tags with baggage in the airport

• Refilling water in train and local tanks

• Filling petrol/diesel/battery in bunks/stations

• ATM security guards

• Gardeners

• Dishwashing

• Table cleaning

• window cleaners (Skyscrapers)

• Drainage cleaning

All other jobs which do not require human creativity will be replaced by AI !

What will be the future of AI?

Simple, AI will make a great impact on our day to day life in the future. It may sound weird, but the fact is that AI's advantage is much higher than its disadvantage so for sure it will be a trade-off. Big companies are heavily investing in AI not for its hype instead they knew its power!. The hype over AI is obviously due to heavy investment and its sky-high achievements. let's talk about the achievements in the upcoming post since this is to give the higher level of AI

Just to give you the overall recap, AI is magic with the logic behind with certain limitations. Still, there were talks about boycotting AI but we are already crossed the bar of deciding whether or not to accept AI, because its game is already on the floor!! we are at the point to choose either are we gonna update our self and adapt to ever-changing technology or staying at the back row!
